I get a lot of GPS units to review, and most of them are pretty similar. So when the Holux GPSlim 236 arrived from Practical Solutions, my initial reaction was, "Ho, hum." However, when I opened the box and took out the receiver, my reaction was, "Wow, that's small!" And when I went looking for the battery and realized the battery was already installed, my reaction was, "Wow, that's really light, too!" Two "Wow" reactions even before I had turned it on! And it didn't disappoint me once I did start to use it. This unit is so small and light that I could carry it around in my pants pocket and never notice it was there.

小さい！軽い！とWowを連発していますが特殊なDriverもなしにX50vと簡単に接続できたと書いてあります(^^；
まぁ、SerialPortProfile(SPP)完全互換なんで普通のBluetooth端末とは簡単に接続できるんですけど・・・。まぁ必要とあればGPSViewerのアプリケーションを入れるくらいで、GPS対応の地図ソフト入れれば問題なく動いちゃいます(^^ゞ

コールドスタートはCFGPS2も早いらしいですが、SiRF IIIだとあまり使うこともないのかも知れませんが早いみたいです(^^;
