指先で選択が可能なShiftという技術：Microsoft Research

I came across a new research touchscreen interface, developed by Microsoft Research's Patrick Baudisch, that he calls Shift. It lets a person use their finger for accurate selections as opposed to pulling out the stylus. The mechanism by which it accomplishes this is by popping up a zoomed copy of the screen area the finger covers, and finger rolls navigate a cursor to the desired target.

WMExperts.comで知りましたがMicrosoft ResearchでPDAなどのタッチスクリーン上で指先による選択が可能な技術が紹介されています。
確かにPocketPCやPalmでも画面に出てくるボタンなんかは指で触って利用することが多いのでこのように小さいボタンは拡大されたり、画面の端っこでは旨くオフセットされて利用できるになるのであればいいかも(^^ゞ
一番の下のリンク先には動画はYoutubeに上がっているのでそれを参照してもいいし、またXP用のDemoソフトがあるのでタッチスクリーンなXPマシンを持っている人は試すことが出来そうですね？(^^;
